Compare target defenses

Mitigation uses the common defense / (defense + 300) curve. If your game differs, adjust until it matches your in-game tooltip.

How to use

  1. 1

    Enter your attack

Type your attack power / base damage before mitigation.

  2. 2

    Set scaling and multipliers

Enter your power scaling, elemental or skill multiplier, and any buff.

  3. 3

    Compare defenses

Enter a target defense to see mitigated damage, and compare several targets at once.

About the Damage Calculator

The classic damage formula

Most RPGs use a variation of: damage = attack ร— skillMultiplier ร— (power scaling) ร— elemental โ€” reduced by the target's defense. Exact formulas differ per game, but the shape is the same, and this calculator models the common version.

Build your numbers

Knowing how attack, multipliers and defense interact lets you choose between raw attack and penetration. Use the multi-target comparison to see how your build performs against squishy and tanky enemies alike.

Frequently asked questions

It models the common RPG formula. If your game uses a different mitigation curve, treat the result as a strong estimate and adjust the defense factor until it matches in-game numbers.

The common version reduces damage by defense / (defense + constant). Raising the constant (like level scaling) makes defense matter less at high values.

Raise attack, skill multiplier, elemental matching and penetration, and debuff the target's defense. Stacking multipliers usually beats stacking one stat.
